Short presentation
Maria Thürk has been an associate senior lecturer at Uppsala University since 2025. Her research focuses on comparative politics, particularly minority and coalition cabinets and government anti-corruption efforts. She studies how institutions influence government actions as well as their perception by citizens. Maria earned her PhD from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2021 and was a postdoc at the University of Basel. Before Uppsala, she taught at the University of Gothenburg.
