Research

My research lies at the intersection of historical linguistics and Turkic studies. I obtained my M.A. degree in 2017 with a thesis on a late Ottoman Sufi text. Since 2023, I have been pursuing my Ph.D. and working as a research assistant at Hacettepe University in Ankara. My doctoral project investigates the syntax of Old Uyghur, with a particular focus on relative clauses and their role in the typology of Turkic clause linkage. I conduct independent studies on Buddhist terminology and the morphosyntactic structures of Old Uyghur texts.
