Isto's and Olle's new article "Choreographies of Making Archaeological Data" (available in Open Access) was published a couple of days ago in Open Archaeology, in a special issue edited by Åsa Berggren (Lund University) and Antonia Davidovic-Walther (University of Heidelberg) on the "Archaeological practices on shiftings grounds". The article discusses the concept and idea of choreographies as means to understand and document archaeological data making practices. It suggests that thinking in terms of choreographies can be helpful in understanding how the practices follow certain rules and standards but at the same time involve a lot of individual decision-making and adaption to the situation in hand.
