Seminar: Research data and research documentation – what, why and how?
A research seminar that focuses on research data and research documentation. We will take a look at legislation and university requirements as well as the infrastructures provided for data management and archiving.
We will also discuss actual research data management practices – how to find feasible strategies for one’s own work and how to continuously identify room for improvement. Finally, the seminar will also bring up the questions: how do we teach data management at our Master’s level and research training program? How can we develop our data management pedagogics?
The seminar will focus on the situation at the Department of ALM, but is open to attendants from other departments as well. The doctoral students’ research will be in focus, but the seminar will be relevant to all conducting research or teaching.
The seminar will be held by Lisa Börjesson, Ph.D. and researcher in the CAPTURE project. Börjesson’s own research focuses on research data practices such as data descriptions, management, infrastructure, review and publishing. She has a background as Research documentation coordinator at the medical university Karolinska Institutet
