Traces, interoperability and data work

During the summer, Isto has presented fresh results from CAPTURE at EASST and CAA conferences, and one article with an analysis an excavation dataset has been published in KULA journal.

CAPTURE participated at the EASST conference with a presentation titled "Techno-politics of the interoperability of archaeological data (work)" that focussed on explicating the underpinnings of the experiences of the lack of interoperability of archaeological datasets.

At the CAA 2022, CAPTURE organised a session on the Traces of digital archaeological practices (page 123 onwards in the abstract book) and participated with a presentation discussing the development of a method for capturing and using traces of archaeological documentation work.

A collaboration between CAPTURE and URDAR projects, an open access article published in KULA journal on "Re-purposing Excavation Database Content as Paradata: An Explorative Analysis of Paradata Identification Challenges and Opportunities" was published in the middle of the summer holidays.
