The Higher Seminar in Business Studies

In this seminar, we will hear about the post-doc position as a possible way forth in ones career after finishing the PhD. We will discuss what a post-doc position is, how you can know if you should consider it, as well as some different alternatives to get there. Importantly, we will hear Ulf Holm and Francesco Ciabuschi share insights from their recent experience of advertising and recruiting for post-docs, and thus help shed light on what this process means for both possible applicants and recruiters. This seminar will allow space for questions and discussions which encourage primarily PhD students of all levels of experience to join – no previous knowledge of post-doc positions is necessary. The goal is to provide more insights which can allow a sense of agency in how to prepare for and consider the future.
