The year 2026 marks 100 years since The Svedberg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for pioneering work on colloids. To celebrate this centennial and look ahead to the next century of discovery, the "Svedberg Centennial Workshop: Physical Chemistry in Sweden 2026" brings together the national community for two intensive days of science and discussion in Uppsala on 19–20 March, 2026.

We welcome contributions across physical chemistry, including, but not limited to:

  • Photochemistry and photoinduced processes
  • Molecular reaction dynamics and spectroscopy
  • Energy conversion and storage (light harvesting, catalysis, solar fuels, batteries)
  • Surfaces, interfaces and colloids
  • Biophysical chemistry and biomolecular interactions

TIME SCHEDULE

  • 8 January: Registration opened
  • 6 February: Deadline for abstract submission
  • 23 February (approx.): The final schedule will be announced
