Awarded for his work in developing sodium ion batteries

Associate professor Reza Younesi has been awarded with the chemical technology prize "the Silver Bar" (Silvertackan) for 2023 from the Swedish National Association of Chemical Engineers.
Reza Younesi receives the award from the Swedish National Association of Chemical Engineers for his work in developing sodium ion batteries, both as a researcher at Uppsala University and in the company Altris AB. He is currently working part time at the Department of Chemistry - Ångström Laboratory, within the research programme for Structural Chemistry, while he is responsible for material technology research in the role of Director Material Technology at NOVO Energy - a joint venture between the battery manufacturer Northvolt and Volvo.
The prize ceremony will take place in connection with the Chemical Engineering Day, on 18 September.
