The Ulla and Stig Holmquist Scientific Prize in Organic Chemistry is awarded annually to a researcher in organic chemistry, whose main work has been carried out in Sweden, and who has done groundbreaking work in the subject.

This year's laureate, Professor Berit Olofsson, Stockholm University, will open the symposium with a lecture. During the day, professors Karl Gademan, Alesia Tietze and Martin Oestreich will also give lectures.

On the occasion of the symposium, the Premium in Memory of Adolf Gogoll will also be awarded to a student for high-quality studies in the field of NMR spectroscopy.
