The Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering hereby invite all interested to a docentship lecture in subject of technical physics with focus on industrial engineering and management.
This lecture examines the development of medical devices, beginning with an exploration of existing products, services, and processes from a customer perspective. It takes a broad view before providing an introduction to medical devices. The lecture then outlines traditional product development methodologies, such as the Stage Gate Model, and highlights Design Thinking as an alternative approach for creating medical devices tailored to users' needs.
The lecture is an obligatory teaching test for those applying for admittance as docent and it should be possible for students and others with basic academic education in the relevant field to follow it. The lecture lasts 40-45 minutes with subsequent discussion. The lecture will be given in English.
