Digital twin for sustainable requirement specification
Joakim Widén, professor at the division for Civil Engineering and Built Environment, has received funding for a project on digital twins as part of Vinnova’s ”Building for the Future! Innovation for a Sustainable Construction and Infrastructure Sector”.
The digital twin, a virtual copy of the building, together with sensors and usage data will contribute to increased sustainability in the construction and infrastructure sector by developing and proposing a methodology for formulating and monitoring more precise requirements for construction projects regarding the utilization of premises and the energy performance of properties, as well as a methodology for continuously monitoring and adapting the building’s operations based on actual usage.
