Indonesian Delegation Visits the Division of Civil Engineering and Built Environment to Explore Scandinavian Innovation in Sustainability and Infrastructure

On 5 May 2025, the Division of Civil Engineering and Built Environment had the honour of welcoming a delegation from Indonesia. The group comprised senior representatives, including board members and directors from Indonesian companies as well as national government agencies. This visit formed part of a broader benchmarking tour encompassing Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen. The delegation's primary focus areas during the tour included healthcare systems, social security frameworks, zero-emission practices in mining and construction, and advancements in energy efficiency and green transitions.
During the visit to the division, Professor Joakim Widén provided an introduction to the university, the overarching goals of the department, and the core research themes pursued within the Division of Civil Engineering and Built Environment. Dr. Farshid Shadram presented key findings from his ongoing research on energy-efficient building design, viewed through a life cycle assessment lens.
