Engaging Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Africa
Welcome to a Forum for Africa Studies symposium and workshop organized together with ReAct and the International Foundation for Science.
This symposium and workshop is intended to elicit multiple disciplinary perspectives upon the facts and meanings of antimicrobial resistance in African contexts. It asks participants to engage in imagining and developing interdisciplinary approaches for producing new knowledge, insights and responses to what has been framed as a looming 21st century crisis. What opportunities are there for the social sciences and humanities to offer critical as well as practical contributions in a field that is thus far dominated by medical and natural sciences?
