New book chapter by Nathan Light: "An oral history by Shertai Suvanov, a survivor of the Kolyma Gulag"

Nathan Light, researcher in Cultural Anthropology, has published a book chapter in the volume Pertenencias múltiples, identidades cruzadas. Nuevas  perspectivas sobre Asia central, Soledad Jiménez Tovar, ed. and trans. Mexico City: El Colegio de Mexico, 2017. The chapter discusses the political, academic and social context in which victims of Stalin’s repressions in the 1930s have been able to publish narratives about their experiences.
