Sten Hagberg on the coup in Mali

(Image removed) Professor Sten Hagberg with longstanding research experience from Mali was interviewed by several Swedish and international media outlets as to comment on the stepping down of President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta on 18 August 2020.

Since June 2020, Hagberg leads a a team of Malian researchers conducting fieldwork in the capital Bamako as well as in the towns of Kati and Sikasso. Thanks to team work with the research lab LACET, the combination of conventional fieldwork and digital field research is key to the kind of anthropological research on burning political issues.
