Don Kulick receives ERC grant for new project
The Department's Distinguished Professor of Anthropology, Don Kulick, has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant, one of Europe's most prestigious research grants awarded to well-established top researchers.
Don will lead the project "People Who Aren't Really There: 'Non-persons' as a field of scholarly inquiry". It is a five-year interdisciplinary and international project on 'non-persons', people who are present but treated as if they were not. The aim of the project is to bring together research on how invisibility, silencing, disregard and ignorance are created in different social contexts and what consequences they may have for individuals, groups and societies.
