Three dissertations at the department
In the last month, no less than three doctoral students in anthropology have defended their theses at the department!
First up was Paolo Mahumane with his thesis “The Curse of Coal Mining: Residents' Resistance to Industrial Coal Mining in Moatize District, Moçambique”.
He was followed by Aliaksandra Shrubok with her thesis “Cultivating Love: Elderly Women and their Plants in the Belarusian Countryside”
and Sally Alexander Sallstedt with “Days Enchanted: the Aesthetic Lives of Young Artist Men in Iceland”
