Camelia Dewan's article Affective assemblages of kinship and single mothers’ labour migration from a ‘climate hotspot’ was one of the most read articles in the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute last year.

Congratulations on this recognition of the impact of your research, Camelia!

Camelia is an associate professor of anthropology and her research focuses on climate change and environmental toxins in South Asia. She has just returned from a trip to the US, where she presented her forthcoming book Living with Toxic Development in Coastal Bangladesh at MIT Anthropology and took part in the conference “Tending the Banyan Tree: Celebrating Branches and Roots” at Yale University, held in honour of Professor K. Sivaramakrishnan on the occasion of his retirement.
