Dr Jesús Marugán-Lobón

Team member Marugan-Lobon

Jesús Marugán-Lobón is a vertebrate palaeontologist and palaeoichnologist who uses Geometric Morphometrics to study the shapes as well as shape changes documented by body fossils and fossilised trackways. He analyses the geometry, morphology, and shape data of early tetrapod trackways in a comparative and analytical framework. This expertise will help to contextualise the circumstances in which these tracks were made and infer yet unknown properties of their track makers.

Dr Jesús Marugán-Lobón is Associate Professor of Paleobiology at the Department of Biology with the Faculty of Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in Spain. His departmental webpage can be found here
