Lena Claesson-Welsh and Christer Betsholtz receive research grants from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation

Lena Claesson-Welsh and Christer Betsholtz have been awarded “bridging grants” of SEK 6 million and SEK 3 million respectively from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation’s programme Wallenberg Scholar aims to support and stimulate some of the most prominent researchers at Swedish universities. Lena Claesson-Welsh was selected as Wallenberg Scholar in 2009 and has subsequently received a prolongation of the grant. Christer Betsholtz was selected as Wallenberg Scholar in 2012. They have now both been awarded research grants that are intended to bridge the time until 2023 when they can apply to the Wallenberg Scholar programme again.
