Mark Richards receives SSMF fellowship
IGP researcher Mark Richards has been awarded a post doc fellowship from the Swedish Society for Medical Research.
The Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF) annually awards young researchers post doc fellowships for medical research during two years.
Mark Richards’ research focuses on studying proteins that regulate vessel leakage positively or negatively in health and disease. The goal is to understand how leakage is controlled and whether it is possible to block leaking vessels by targeting key proteins, thereby improving the efficacy of e.g. cancer therapy.
In total, 26 researchers in Sweden, out of which 7 are from Uppsala University, have been granted SSMF fellowships this year.
