New grants from the Swedish Research Council to IGP

Five IGP researchers have been awarded research grants from the Swedish Research Council in the field of medicine and health.

Ulf Landegren and Fredrik Swartling are awarded project grants of SEK 4.8 million for four years. Karin Forsberg Nilsson, Sven Nelander and Lene Uhrbom receive three-year project grants of SEK 2.4 million.

Ulf Landgren has also recently been awarded a proof of concept grant of SEK 950,000.

In total, 839 applications for project grants were sent to the Research Council in this year’s call, out of which 234 were granted. In addition, grants for development of methods (3R), starting grants for young researchers and grants for half-time positions in clinical research have also been awarded.
