Post doc grants to two of IGP’s new PhDs
Leonor Gouveia and Chiara Testini have been awarded grants from the Swedish Research Council to spend post doc periods abroad.
Leonor Gouveia will do her post doc in Spain on a project focusing on molecular alterations caused by excess energy intake of blood vessel cells. Chiara Testini will spend her post doc period in the United States where she will study signalling in blood vessel cells and immune response after heart transplantation.
The purpose of the international post doc grants is to give newly qualified researchers with a doctoral degree from a Swedish university the opportunity to expand their networks and their competences by working abroad under secure employment conditions. In the 2018 autumn call for postdoc grants the Swedish Research Council approved 41 out of 219 applications.
