The infrastructure Biobank Sweden receives funding
The Swedish Research Council has decided to finance Swedish research infrastructures with in total SEK 4 billion in the coming years. Biobank Sweden, coordinated by Tobias Sjöblom, receives one of the grants.
The aim of Biobank Sweden is to coordinate Swedish biobanks and associated data, to facilitate for researchers to gain access to samples and data.
Only the research infrastructures/areas that were listed in the call text Grants to infrastructure of national interest were able to apply for funding. Of the 28 infrastructures that receive grants, 7 are coordinated at Uppsala University.
