Vinnova supports IGP researchers

Marika Nestor and Ulf Landegren have been granted research funding for collaborative projects.

Marika Nestor leads a project on a new therapy for thyroid cancer. The project will be performed in collaboration with Karolinska University Hospital and has been granted close to SEK 3 million.

In Ulf Landegren’s project the researchers collaborate with the department of clinical genetics at Uppsala University Hospital to develop ultrasensitive and cost-efficient diagnostics for the leukemia form AML. Vinnova supports the project with in total SEK 2.2 million.

The funding has been granted in the call Swelife och Medtech4Health – Collaborative projects for better health, spring 2019. The call resulted in applications for 122 projects, out of which 16 were granted funding.
