Meeting in Working Group in Empirical Linguistics (WoGEL), this time with Yingqi Jing presenting his work on phylogenetic models for syntactic change in related and unrelated languages.
Yingqi Jing (Uppsala University) presents ongoing work on phylogenetics, in this case concerning change in word order. The presented model is to detect correlated changes from independent ones and still account for variation specific to particular linguistic lineages.
