Welcome to a one-day conference on the theme of resilient food systems. The conference is aimed at municipal and regional actors who work with policy, planning, and practice, with a focus on local food systems, food preparedness, and the preservation of agricultural land. Throughout the day, various stakeholders will share their experiences of how they contribute to creating a more sustainable and resilient food system with a regional and local focus. Concrete examples will be presented, and together we will explore how different food-system issues can be interconnected, as well as the obstacles and opportunities that exist in policy, planning, and practice to move the work forward.

Program

  • Municipalities, government agencies, and organizations active in the field share their ongoing work and experiences
  • Researchers from UU, KTH, and FOI present their current research
  • Municipal representatives discuss their work with local food strategies
  • Workshops on obstacles and opportunities in policy and planning to promote local, resilient food systems. We will exchange practical experiences and knowledge in the areas of procurement, food preparedness, agricultural land, and collaborations

The conference will be held in Swedish.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. We will provide lunch and coffee breaks!

Participants are welcome to bring posters or other materials to showcase their work.

Registration closes on January 30

The conference is organized by the research projects RESFOOD and FOODPREP, which are funded by Formas. The project partners are Uppsala University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and The Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI).
