Professor Lars Tranvik awarded medal for outstanding scientific contributions to limnology

The Einar Naumann-August Thienemann Medal of the International Society of Limnology (SIL) will be presented to Lars Tranvik in August at the SIL conference in Nanjing. SIL considers it "the highest honor that can be bestowed internationally for outstanding scientific contributions to limnology". This reflects the achievements by the team of many previous and current members of the limnology program at the Department of Ecology and Genetics.
