"A subject that greatly influences our everyday life"

Fabian Lindahl is studying Economics B and aspires to work as a macroanalyst in the future. He believes that economics is a subject that can be used to solve welfare issues and understand how different parts of society are interconnected.

Why are you studying economics?

I study economics because it genuinely interests me. I've had an interest in economics for a long time, and after taking the A course in economics, it became clear to me that this was the direction I wanted to pursue. I am currently studying Economics B, and I look forward to continuing my studies in economics in the future.

What do you want to do after graduation?

After graduation, I would probably prefer to work as a macroanalyst.

What interests you most about economics?

What interests me about economics is that it's a kind of theorem that is interconnected. It's a subject that profoundly influences our everyday life. With economics, it's possible to solve welfare problems such as unemployment, the environment, growth, etc.

Has there been anything about studying economics that has surprised you?

Before I started studying economics, I didn't expect there to be so much math. Now I have a deeper understanding of why there is math within the subject, as I understand that it's necessary to be able to draw reasonable conclusions through calculations.
