"The Productivity and Growth Implications of AI"
Abstract:
The technical capabilities of AI have improved dramatically in recent years, but that does not automatically or immediately translate into economic value. New skills, business processes, and even institutions will be needed. Professor Brynjolfsson will discuss some of the economically relevant technological advances, describe the co-invention of intangible assets, and model the implications drawing on his work on organizational complementaries and the productivity J-curve.
