-A very honorable assignment and I look forward to contributing to KVA's work in the future, says Eva Mörk.

The Royal Academy of Sciences about their decision: “Eva Mörk’s research extends to both public and political economy as well as labor market economics. In her present research she studies the correlation between health, socio-economic background and social mobility. The extent of poor health during childhood has an impact on study results and labor market outcomes in adulthood. But Eva Mörk has a great span in her reserach, an example being her publication in the top-rank journal in political science: American Political Science Review (together with Matz Dahlberg) that examines whether there is evidence to suggest that politicians allocate budgetary resources on the basis of election tactics. She has previously been used as an expert at the Ministry of Finance and was a contributor to the final report for the 2011 Long-Term Investigation. Eva Mörk has been a member of the committee for the prize in economic science in memory of Alfred Nobel since 2011, initially as an adjunct, now as a regular. "

John Hassler and Carina Mood, Stockholm University, were also elected members of the Academy’s class for social sciences.
