Professor Emeritus Henry Ohlsson publishes the book ”Tiondelarnas tyranni. Penningpolitik i teori och praktik”

After a long career in academia Professor Emeritus Henry, who is specialized in labor markets, wage formation and taxes, was asked if he would consider becoming Deputy Governor of the Riksbank.
– It was an offer I could not refuse. As Deputy Governor, I had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and experience I brought with me from my time in the university world,” explains Henry Ohlsson.
The book summarizes his experiences from his work as a monetary policy decision-maker on the Executive Board of the Riksbank. This applies above all to monetary policy, but also to other issues that affect the Riksbank's operations, such as financial stability, the payment system and the Swedish krona exchange rate.
Henry Ohlsson has been Professor Emeritus of Economics at Uppsala University since 2024. Between 2015 and 2023 he worked as Deputy Governor of the Riksbank.
