The Uppsala Economic Society annually announces essay scholarships from the Ingemar Carlsson Memorial Fund. This year's scholarship recipients are Gustaf Holmberg and Stella Dry.
The Economics Association in Uppsala annually awards scholarships from the Ingemar Carlsson Memorial Fund to students who, through their theses, have demonstrated exceptional aptitude in the field of Economics. This year, the total amount awarded is 26,000 SEK.
This year’s recipients are:
Gustaf Holmberg for the master’s thesis “Does market entry end bid-rotation? Evidence from the Swedish market for generic substitution.”
Stella Dry for the bachelor’s thesis ”Does Rural-to-Urban Migration Decrease the Risk of Child Mortality? Microdata Evidence from East Africa”.

The scholarship from the Ingemar Carlsson Memorial Fund will go to younger students who have shown a clear desire and aptitude for economic studies. It is awarded in the spring semester by the Swedish Economic Association.
The foundation was established through Isa and Georg Carlsson's deed of gift dated February 5, 1947, in which they donated an amount of 10,000 kronor in memory of their deceased son, the amanuensis Ingemar Carlsson.
