Uppsala Center for Fiscal Studies was founded at the Department of Economics at Uppsala University in the fall of 2008. UCFS supports research in all areas of public economics and provides a forum for Swedish and international researchers to interact and conduct research.
The Centre is organized around a small set of "core" and affiliated members. In addition, the Center welcomes visitors to spend shorter or longer periods in Uppsala.
The Center is funded by grants from the Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Foundation and the Tore Browaldh Foundation.
Research at UCFS
Researchers at the Uppsala Center for Fiscal Studies conduct both theoretical and empirical research on a wide range of topics in the field of public economics. Examples of current research areas are:
