Global food safety

On the 6 -7th of February 2025 IKV was welcoming Assistant Professor Andrej Ovca from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Health Sciences, Slovenia, to the course Food science at the Food Science and Nutrition program in order to teach in the area of global food safety. The topic was introduced by the lecture Modern Food safety Challenges: Exposing Emerging Risks and was finalized the next day by a seminar where the students in small groups delivered a summary of a prepared global food safety issue that ended in a common discussion. What we learned was that Global Food Safety is a large and interesting topic, however, very complex.
