Taiwan's Security and International Participation

The Department of Government is honored to welcome the Taiwanese Ambassador, Dr Klement Ruey-shen Gu. The Ambassador will give a lecture about Taiwan's Security and International Participation.

Recent events have highlighted the fundamental importance of international cooperation, trustworthy alliances, secure trade routes, cyber and cable security, as well as of Taiwan as the world's most important producer of semi-conductors. It is therefore a great honour to welcome the Taiwanese Ambassador, Dr Klement Ruey-shen Gu, to the Department of Government at Uppsala. The Ambassador will give a lecture on the topic Taiwan's Security and International Participation

Ambassador Dr. Klement Ruey-sheng Gu has been the Representative at the Taipei Mission in Sweden since December 2022. He received his doctorate (Law) from the Friedrich Wilhelms University Bonn in 2001, and has held a number of positions at the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Representative in Switzerland and Deputy Representative in Germany.
