Hampus Östh Gustafsson is awarded funding for the project ‘Freedom to Research’

Our researcher Hampus Östh Gustafsson has been awarded funding for a project called Freedom to Research: Shifting Funding Regimes and their Effects on Early-Career Academics in the Social Sciences and Humanities.

Hampus leads a group of researchers who will spend periods of time at Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study (SCAS), Paris Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), Zukunftskolleg Konstanz, Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) and Centre for Advanced Study at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (CAS).

The project was granted by the CAT Programme (Constructive Advanced Thinking Programme 2025–2027), an initiative from NetIAS (Network of European Institutes for Advanced Study).
