Hans Rausing Lecture 2024 - Lissa Roberts: "Science as Work, Science and Work"
The Hans Rausing Lecture 2024 will be held by the historian of science, Professor Lissa Roberts from the University of Twente, The Netherlands. She currently serves as editor-in-chief of the journal History of Science and co-editor of the Cambridge University Press monograph series “Science in History.” A strong believer in collaborative work, she has (co-) organized numerous research projects, resulting in publications such as The Mindful Hand (Edita, 2007), The Brokered World (Science History Publications, 2009), Compound Histories (Brill, 2017), and most recently, two special issues on “science and labor” (Labour: Studies in Working Class History vol. 21,1 (2024) and History of Science vol. 61,4 (2023)) and a “Focus Section” on the same topic in the journal Isis (vol. 114, 4 (2023)).
