Swedish Cancer Society positions to IGP researchers
Cecilia Lindskog has been granted a Senior Investigator Award and Erika Dalmo, Marit Melssen, Ivan Zelepukino and Albin Österros have been awarded postdoctoral positions.
Senior Investigator Awards are six-year grants awarded well established researchers. Cecilia Lindskog is one of three researchers awarded this type of grant in the current call. Her research focuses on precision oncology in ovarian cancer.
The Swedish Cancer Society’s three-year postdoctoral positions are granted researchers who got their PhD degrees less than three years ago. During her postdoctoral period, Erika Dalmo will study plasticity in glioblastoma stem cells. Marit Melssen’s project concerns immune cell infiltration in glioblastoma. Ivan Zelepukin will investigate the delivery of targeted therapeutic nanoparticles to tumours. Albin Österros’ research will focus on personalized medicine and improved prognostication for aggressive myeloid malignancies.
