Region Uppsala’s research prize 2024 to Ingrid Glimelius
She is awarded for her research cancer epidemiology, focusing on malignant lymphomas.

Ingrid Glimelius has established an impressive research profile by combining biological methods, innovative molecular tools and their clinical applications. Her work has resulted in revised recommendations for disease follow-up in the Swedish guidelines for Hodgkin lymphoma therapy.
Ingrid has been awarded significant research grants and she is leading several clinical trials of new targeted treatments and innovative methods to follow therapy response. Her research has considerable potential of being translated to clinical applications and thereby improving patient care.

Regionstyrelsen delar sedan 2009 ut ett forskningspris för patientnära forskning. Förutom Ingrid Glimelius tilldelas ytterligare tre forskare priset i år. Prisceremonin sker vid vicerektor för medicin och farmacis sommarmiddag den 12 juni.
