Hedvig Elving awarded Thesis of the Year in pathology
Hedvig Elving, former doctoral student at IGP, has been awarded the Thesis of the Year prize from the Swedish Society of Pathology.
Hedvig Elfving is a specialist in pathology and received her doctorate in 2024. In her thesis, Improving the diagnostic armamentarium of lung cancer, she characterised various diagnostically relevant protein markers in lung cancer and identified sources of error in sampling and assessment that may be significant for patient treatment.
The prize of SEK 5,000 is a personal award and will be presented at the Society of Pathology’s next annual meeting.
