Six IGP researchers awarded grants from the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund

Magnus Essand, Karin Forsberg Nilsson, Sven Nelander, Marika Nestor and Fredrik Swartling have been awarded three-year project grants of between SEK 2.4 and 4.8 million. Geraldine Giraud has received a two-year project grant of SEK 1 million.

All IGP projects that are now funded by the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund concern brain tumours or tumours in the nervous system in children. The researchers will study new therapy targets, development of treatment strategies and mechanisms behind disease relapse.
