Clinical Genomics Uppsala receives SciLifeLab Technology Development grant

The facility Clinical Genomics Uppsala at IGP has received a SEK 2.5 million grant in the SciLifeLab call for Technology Development Projects.

The aim of the two-year project, which will be led by Clinical Genomics Uppsala’s director Lucia Cavelier, is to establish a new method for sensitive detection of tumour DNA in plasma at the facility. The project is a collaboration with IGP researcher Ulf Landegren and coworkers, who have developed the method. Ulf Landegren has also recently been awarded a project grant and a proof of concept grant from the Swedish Research Council for further development of the method.
