Göran Gustafsson prize to Xingqi Chen

IGP researcher Xingqi Chen has been awarded a Göran Gustafsson Prize for young researchers.

Xingqi Chen has recently joined IGP and is establishing a research group in the Molecular tools programme. The focus of his work is to understand cell fate decision during development and human disease. He is also developing state-of-art single cell technologies to characterize cell heterogeneity in a systematic manner.

The Göran Gustafsson Foundation is made up by two foundations with different objectives where one issues prizes in medicine and engineering physics at Uppsala University and in engineering physics at KTH in Stockholm. Xingqi Chen has been awarded the lesser Göran Gustafsson prize for young researchers which is for SEK 750 000 for one year. The prize will be presented at a ceremony in the end of April or beginning of May.
