Mohamed Altai receives SSMF fellowship

IGP researcher Mohamed Altai has been awarded a post doc fellowship from the Swedish Society for Medical Research.

The Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF) annually awards young researchers post doc fellowships for medical research during two years. The fellowships amount to SEK 25 000 per month and, after the fellowship period has been completed, a start-up grant of a maximum of SEK 250 000.

Mohamed Altai’s research project focuses on developing two new methods for treating metastasised breast cancer. In these methods targeting molecules called Affibody molecules, are combined with radioactive substances or small drug molecules, with the aim to increase the efficacy of targeting drugs and reduce resistance.
