VR funding received for Human-Computer Interaction research

The HCI group at informatics and media (IM) has received funding from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) for the project "Improving children’s proprioceptive skills and motoric abilities through interactive playful training”

The goal of the project is to support the development of motor skills in young children with sensory processing disorders (i.e. problems regarding acting through, and understanding, their own body in motion and space). Through a mix of play, circus training and interactive equipment, the project will aim at fostering motivation, empowerment and a sense of success.

The project will kick start on January 2018 and will run for three years.
