Best paper award for a paper on cognitive time as a service pricing determinant
Darek Haftor, together with Fabian von Schéele from Linnaeus University and Natalia Pashkevich from Södertörn University, received the Betelgeux Best Paper Award of Innovation in the 2019 INEKA conference for their paper “Cognitive time as a service pricing determinant: Hidden dynamics and price collapse”.
The paper’s message proposes a novel theoretical contribution where humans are regarded as information systems with cognitive time perception that differs from the physical clock time that is used in legal and economic contracting; that gap constitutes a source for resource leakage in the pricing of services, and generates hidden inefficiencies.
The 2019 INEKA (Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Knowledge Academy) conference took place in in Verona, Italy, 11-13 June, 2019 and was the 10th annual conference. The conference had about 500 participants.
Darek Haftor is professor at the Department of Informatics and Media, Uppsala University.
