Professor Pär Ågerfalk receives AIS Fellow Award

Pär Ågerfalk was conferred the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Fellow Award during the International Conference on Information Systems in Hyderabad India in December 2020. The AIS Fellow Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the information systems discipline in terms of research, teaching and service, both globally and locally. 

“I am flattered and honored to accept this distinguished award,” Ågerfalk said. “As the digital transformation of society continues at an ever increasing speed, the information systems discipline is more important than ever. It is a great privilege to be part of this exciting development.”

Professor Ågerfalk is the first Swede to receive the prestigious award, which has been presented annually since 1999. Read more about the AIS Fellow Award at Association for Information Systems’ website.

Pär Ågerfalk is Professor and Chair of Information Systems in the Department of Informatics and Media at Uppsala University.
