He receives the award for his strong commitment to student learning and his student-centred approach to teaching. In his courses, he makes complex topics such as computer architecture and programming more understandable and accessible.

A key aspect of his teaching is the integration of theory with dialogue and discussion. By combining lectures with interactive elements, Chang creates an active learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and contribute their own ideas.

He also uses a flipped classroom approach, where students prepare in advance and then work through questions and deepen their understanding together during class. This allows more time for support, clarification and deeper exploration of challenging topics.

Students particularly highlight that his teaching is clearly structured, engaging and tailored to their needs. His approach helps make advanced technical subjects easier to grasp and more relevant.

Chang Hyun Park was surprised with the news on 26 May, when he was congratulated by the Vice-Rector and colleagues during a digital meeting.
