von Matern Prize 2023 to labour lawyer Bo Ericson

The Faculty of Law recently decided to award this year's von Matern Prize to former labour lawyer Bo Ericson. The prize will be awarded at a seminar in March 2024.

Motivation:
Bo Ericson is awarded the von Matern prize for the year 2023 for his authorship in labour law. His work spans more than four decades and large parts of the field. The publication list has been steadily replenished with new titles and new editions, with works on many practically important issues, including those that have rarely received attention. The scope, persistence and quality of Bo Ericson's work make him a worthy recipient of the von Matern prize for promoting legal writing in Sweden.

The von Matern prize
The Faculty of Law annually awards the von Matern prize to a person who has promoted legal writing in Sweden. The von Matern prize was established in a will in 1930 by Tyra von Matern, in memory of Deputy Chief Justice Knut von Matern.
